EPPING KINDERGARTEN
Welcome to Kindergarten!
We currently have four half day sessions taught by Mrs. Daniels and Mrs. Masury, and one full day session taught by Mrs. Yergeau. The morning Kindergarten session runs from 8:20 am to 11:05 am and the afternoon sessions runs from 12:20 pm to 3:00 pm. The full day session runs from 8:20 am to 3:00 pm. The school does provide bus transportation to and from school for all kindergarten students.
In Kindergarten we use the following curricula:
Reading - Learn to Read by Reading
Writing - Learn to Write by Writing
Math - Investigations in Number, Space, and Data
Bullying - Quit It!
Social Skills - Curriculum developed by Epping Elementary School Social Skills Committee
Handwriting - Handwriting Without Tears
The goal of the Kindergarten program is to provide an environment and experiences that foster a child's development and learning in all areas (social, emotional, physical, and cognitive) in a developmentally appropriate way to prepare him/her to become a secure and successful lifelong learner. This goal is accomplished through many concrete, hands-on activities encompassing the various content areas.
