EPPING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Welcome to Epping Elementary School's 2011-2012 school year.

All of us here at Epping Elementary School are committed to improving learning, safety and communication during 2011-2012. To improve reading and writing, our school is continuing our professional development collaboration with Tufts University's Center for Advanced Children's Studies. This year our focus is on Writers Workshop, a program designed to improve student writing in all areas. To improve safety, our main entrance has been equipped with a security system. Our exterior doors have been equipped with electronic keys so that all doors can be locked throughout the day. The main entrance is equipped with a buzzer system that enables the office to let in visitors to the building. To improve communication, the weekly newsletter, Cool News, will be sent by email to those families that sign up for this service.

We started the year with a First Day Celebration that demonstrated how important it is for school, home and community to work together so that every child learns to his or her potential. Please know that you are invited to come to school, not just on First Day but for any day, to volunteer, to attend concerts, or just to have a meal with your child at school.

All of us at Epping Elementary School look forward to working with you and will do everything possible to make this year a success for all our students.
