EPPING MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL NURSE

INFLUENZA - The NH Department of Health and Human Services, NH Department of Education, US Center for Disease Control, US Department of Education, and US Homeland Security work closely to assist schools in preparing for health and emergency situations.  These agencies provide the district with health fact sheets and website information.  Please take a look at the website "What To Do If You Get Sick: 2009 H1N1 and Seasonal Flu."

EEE - In September the District sprayed for mosquitoes at the EES, EMS, EHS, and SAU fields.  As of this notice pools all around Epping have tested positive for EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis).  The District will continue to monitor this situation until the first good frost.
Mosquitoes are most active dusk to dark.  If you must be outside during these hours, it is recommended that you wear long plants and long sleeves, and use an insect repellant with DEET.
