The principal search was an intensive and inclusive process involving students, parents, community members, school staff, school administration, and school board members.  The process was completed with an interview before the full school board. The District extends our appreciation to school students, parents, community members, staff, and administration for sharing their time and feedback throughout this process.

We are pleased that Mr. Repucci has accepted the position.  It is a wonderful opportunity for both Mr. Repucci and the Epping School Community.

SEARCH PROCESS - The search process consists of three steps including the Leadership Search Committee, Community Search Committee, and School Board.  There is one School Board Member on the Leadership Search Committee and also on each Community Search Team.  The selection of the new Principal is ultimately the decision of the School Board based on the input of the Committees and Superintendent.

APPLICATIONS - The District has received 37 applications for this position.

LEADERSHIP SEARCH COMMITTEE - The Leadership Search Committee includes school and district administration and one School Board Member.  On March 4 the committee met to review applications and selected 10 candidates to be interviewed.  Interviews were conducted on March 8 and 10. Full reference checks were conducted.  The committee selected five candidates which met the committee's criteria to send forward to the Community Committee.  The committee also recommended that due to the large community response to participate in the process to expand the committee from 10 to 13 members.

STUDENT LED TOURS - Candidates also participated in tours of the middle school and high school on March 16, 17, and 18.  The tours were supervised by the Athletic Director in each school.  Students were selected representing a diverse student body.  Students provided feedback on the candidates.

COMMUNITY SEARCH COMMITTEE -  The Community Search Committee includes two 13-member teams.  Members of the Committee were selected by lottery at the March 18 School Board Meeting.  Individuals entering the lottery system provided their name and the community function they represented by the March 12 deadline.  Names  were drawn one by one and assigned to that function.  If the function area was filled the name was added to a waiting list in the order it was drawn.  Selected committee members were contacted as to their availability.  Participation in both interview sessions was required.  If an individual was not available the next individual for that function on the waiting list was contacted.  If there was not an individual for the vacated function, the individual at the top of the list was contacted.  Students were selected from the Junior and National Honor Societies.  Click the following committee name for committee members - Committee One and Committee Two.

The committee conducted interviews of four candidates on March 23 and 25.  A process was set up in which each member was responsible for asking a question of their choosing.  Prior to the interviews each member was requested to provide a primary and back up question in case the primary question had already been provided by another member.  Committee members were also provided with a list of possible questions submitted by other community members by the March 17 deadline.  (It is important to note that one candidate withdrew prior to the interview process.  As a result the committee interviewed four candidates.)
