STATUS OF EPPING MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SEARCH
PROCESS - The search process consists of three steps including the Leadership Search Committee, Community Search Committee, and School Board. There will be one School Board Member on the Leadership Search Committee and also on each Community Search Team. The selection of the new Principal is ultimately the decision of the School Board based on the input of the Committees and Superintendent. Please note that the scheduled dates and times shown below may be subject to change.
APPLICATIONS - The District has received 37 applications for this position.
LEADERSHIP SEARCH COMMITTEE - The Leadership Search Committee includes school and district administration and one School Board Member. On March 4 the committee met to review applications and selected 10 candidates to be interviewed. Interviews have been scheduled for March 8 and 10. The committee will then recommend candidates to the Community Committee. Candidates will also be offered tours of the middle school and high school on March 16, 17, and 18.
COMMUNITY SEARCH COMMITTEE - The Community Search Committee will include two 10-member teams as shown below. Please note that all participants need to be available for both sessions listed below. The SAU Office will confirm your selection to the committee. Team representatives will be selected randomly and will be equally shared by the middle and high schools. If your name is not selected for one of the teams, your name will be placed on a waiting list. Substitutes may be made from the waiting list.
The Epping School Board will select committee members at the March 18th School Board meeting.

Submit Questions to Committee: School and community members, who are unable to participate on a team, may also submit questions for consideration to the Community Search Committee. March 23 - 6:00 pm - The purpose of this meeting is for each team to develop interview questions. The intent is to use a standard set of questions so that fair and representative feedback can be obtained. District administration will be facilitating these meetings. The teams will not be interviewing at this session.
March 25 - 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm - During this session each team will be interviewing candidates. Each team will interview each candidate for 45 minutes with 15 minutes for candidate questions, comments, and/or transitioning. District administration will facilitate the welcoming and movement of candidates between teams. Dinner will be provided. There will also be time to debrief and receive committee feedback. The end time is subject to change based on the number of candidates.

SCHOOL BOARD - The School Board is scheduled to interview candidates April 1 and to approve a nomination by April 8.
ADVERTISEMENT - The application deadline has passed. The District advertised over a three week period using an online service EDjobsNH, the Union Leader, the Exeter Newsletter, a fax to all NH school districts, and website postings by educational organizations permitting such advertising.
