SST TRANSPORTATION The District provides transportation to/from the Seacoast School of Technology from/to Epping High School when SST is in session. However, there may be days when SST is in session, but Epping schools are not. On those days transportation will only be provided from/to Epping High School to/from SST; there will be no transportation from Epping High School to home.
NO PASSING BUSES Vehicles are not permitted to pass school buses loading or unloading students. Air quality standards require buses not to idle while awaiting students or when loading/unloading students. As a result the lights/stop bar are not functional. Please do not pass buses loading/unloading students. The District will be placing cones where necessary to prevent traffic during the loading/unloading of students.
NO WALKING BETWEEN BUSES Please do not walk between buses. This ruling has been put into effect to insure the safety of students and adults. Please note students will be disciplined for walking between buses.
REGULAR TRANSPORTATION First Student provides student transportation services for the Epping School District. Transportation is provided to students in kindergarten through grade 12 and subject to the rules and regulations of the school district.
School district policy on student transportation may be accessed under School Board Policy E. Please be sure to also read the rules and regulations published in the School Student Handbook.
BUS STOPS & TRANSPORTATION ISSUES If you have questions or concerns regarding a bus stop or any other transportation issue, please contact the Superintendent's Office at 679-8003 or bmunsey@sau14.org.
NEW STUDENTS If you are new to the school district, please call First Student at 778-6900 to obtain your child's bus stop location. Due to safety concerns the school district only publishes the bus routes for a short time at the beginning of the school year.
PART-DAY KINDERGARTEN TRANSPORTATION Please note that the district does not publish the kindergarten bus routes. Parents please contact the elementary school for additional information. Morning kindergarten students are picked up on the elementary bus and dropped off on the kindergarten bus. Afternoon kindergarten students are picked up on the kindergarten bus and dropped off on the elementary bus. Please note that the kindergarten and elementary bus routes are not the same and your child may have two different bus stops depending on the time of day.
FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN TRANSPORTATION Please note that students enrolled in the full day kindergarten program are transported using the elementary bus routes.
SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION The Epping School District Special Education Department provides special transportation to students with an individualized education plan which includes specialized transportation other than that provided by regular transportation. Questions should be directed to the Special Education Department. Please reference the Special Education webpage under Parents and Community.
ATHLETIC & EXTRACURRICULAR TRANSPORTATION Questions should be directed to your child's school. Please reference the school's webpage for contact information.
The District encourages parents/guardians of students participating at neighboring school facilities/grounds to provide transportation to and from such athletic events. Alternate transportation may be provided by the participating student, with another participating student, or with another parent/guardian to and from these athletic events held in/on neighboring school facilities/grounds per Policy EEAGA Student Drivers. Click here for the permission form.
The District provides transportation to and from school for school-sponsored activities. The District also recognizes that there may be instances in which a parent/guardian/family member may wish to transport the student or the student may need to use his/her private vehicle. Under no circumstances will a student be allowed to transport another student. This practice is also governed by Policy EEAGA Student Drivers. Click here for the permission form.
