Chris Mazzone
Principal

Christopher Mazzone is a career educator who has over 20 years of experience at both the middle and high school levels. This includes 8+ years as an administrator in a nearby middle high school. Mr. Mazzone began his teaching career as a middle school special education teacher and has administrative experience at large and smaller sized middle and high schools. Mr. Mazzone’s drive to bring high level learning outcomes and expectation for all learners led him towards school administration. Mr. Mazzone believes that carrying the theme of serving all kids all the time into the school leadership realm will make Epping Middle High School a place of excellence.
 
Mr. Mazzone holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Curry College in Milton, Ma, a master’s degree in Education from the University of New England in Biddeford, Me, and is near completion of a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership. Mr. Mazzone’s belief is that learning is a collaborative process in which teachers, students, and parents have equal responsibility as it pertains to student achievement.

Tyler Nekton
Assistant Principal

Tyler Nekton began his career in education as a 7th-grade U.S. History teacher in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2008, he relocated to New Hampshire and joined Epping High School as a World Cultures teacher. Throughout his tenure in Epping, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to student development, serving as an athletic coach, class advisor, and coordinator for international educational trips to Canada, Europe, and the Galápagos Islands.

In 2017, Mr. Nekton transitioned into the role of Digital Learning Specialist, supporting students and educators across grades 6–12. During this period, he advanced his professional qualifications by earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Building on this expertise, he assumed the role of Assistant Principal at Epping Middle High School in December 2021, a position he continues to hold today.

Ms. Elliot brings four decades of experience as a teacher, counselor and administrator to the team at Epping Middle High School. She has dedicated her career to creating safe, supportive learning environments where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Her professional journey began as a school counselor, and that foundation has shaped her leadership philosophy. Listening carefully, building trusting relationships, collaborating with families and staff, and supporting students through challenges and successes have proven invaluable in all of her educational roles.  She believes that the strongest school leaders are highly visible, approachable, and committed to understanding the unique needs of every student. Her favorite quote is from John Wooden.
