Chris Mazzone
Principal

Christopher Mazzone is a career educator who has over 20 years of experience at both the middle and high school levels. This includes 8+ years as an administrator in a nearby middle high school. Mr. Mazzone began his teaching career as a middle school special education teacher and has administrative experience at large and smaller sized middle and high schools. Mr. Mazzone’s drive to bring high level learning outcomes and expectation for all learners led him towards school administration. Mr. Mazzone believes that carrying the theme of serving all kids all the time into the school leadership realm will make Epping Middle High School a place of excellence.
 
Mr. Mazzone holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Curry College in Milton, Ma, a master’s degree in Education from the University of New England in Biddeford, Me, and is near completion of a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership. Mr. Mazzone’s belief is that learning is a collaborative process in which teachers, students, and parents have equal responsibility as it pertains to student achievement.

Tyler Nekton
Assistant Principal

Educational Experience

B. A. Social Studies in Secondary Education

Tyler started as a 7th grade US History teacher out of college in Norfolk, Virginia.  He moved to Epping, NH in 2008 and began teaching World Cultures at Epping High School in 2008.  Since being at Epping he has coached multiple sports, advised several classes of students, brought students on varying trips to Canada, Europe and the Galapagos Islands.  In 2017 Mr. Nekton switched roles from classroom teacher to Digital Learning Specialist.  While working with students and teacher grades 6-12 he also earned his masters degree in educational leadership.  In December of 2021 he was able to take advantage of a vacancy at the assistant principal level and that is where he is this year, Epping Middle High School's assistant principal.
