On Tuesday December 17th, EMHS hosted our annual Holiday Concert. The performances were extraordinary. Thank you to Ms. Isaak, Ms. Edge, and Ms. Wentworth, whose leadership is responsible for the participation numbers and quality. Our performances have risen to the level of excellence we expect for our students and our community. Under the direction of our music and choral instructors, the crowd was treated to renditions of such classics as ‘Lean on Me” and “Moondance,” before being dazzled with seasonal classics such as “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” Let it Snow,” and “The Carol of the Bells”, to name a few. It was a phenomenal community event and a great way to wrap up 2024 in style.
Our maintenance and IT departments were also integral to this successful event and deserve our gratitude. While what many see is the performance, it takes a lot of people and effort to transform our Allen Gymnasium into a Center for the Performing Arts. Thank you to Josh Martin (Facilities Director) and Justin Fogg, Ephraim Bolduc, Dave MacDonald, Mike Bogannam, Sean Thornton, and Lynn Champney, for their monumental efforts in setting up and breaking down multiple times over the last week while still maintaining a safe and clean environment for learning.
Our IT Department was also integral to the quality and logistics in support of this event. Thanks to the many hours of toil and effort delivered by Maria Hendrickson (IT Director), Alec Bruce (IT Specialist), and Joe Murphy (IT Specialist), the professional lighting and sound enhanced the experience for our performers and their guests.
Please take a moment to say “thank you” to those who worked behind the scenes. Thank you to our brave performers and all who came out to support this great event.
