Good evening Epping Community,
If meteorologists were ever consistently accurate, I’m convinced they’d all be retired on a warm beach somewhere by now. But here we are again, staring down a forecast that seems to change every time I refresh the screen.
Tomorrow’s storm is one of those “could start at 10… or maybe 12… or maybe whenever it feels like it” situations.
While I’m confident we could get students to school safely in the morning, it becomes a real gamble whether we could get them home safely in the afternoon—and that’s a gamble I’m never willing to take, especially since my crystal ball is still broken.
So, to give families and staff time to plan—and fully accepting the risk that I might be gloriously wrong—Epping will have a snow day tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
And if the skies are clear and the roads are perfect, please send all complaints directly to Kevin Skarupa.
Stay safe, enjoy the day, and thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Bill Furbush
Proud Superintendent of Epping Schools
