2026-2027 Epping Farm to School Local Procurement
Request for Availability and Pricing for Local Foods
Epping SAU14 and its purchasing partners intend to purchase products from local producers to supply a Farm to School Program. One of the goals of our meals program is to expose students to a variety of fresh, seasonal produce while strengthening connections between school districts and the regional agricultural community. Epping SAU14 is the leading district on this solicitation with the potential for other districts in the region to participate in this agreement, which at this time includes Litchfield School District SAU27.
The Opportunity
Together, these districts serve approximately 2,000 students. This is an exciting opportunity for regional producers to sell to local schools on a practical scale and through a collaborative partnership.
Epping School District is seeking availability and pricing for the following products:
● Vegetables: Carrots, potatoes (waxy or floury), and onions
● Fruit: Apples and pears
● Protein: Chicken drumsticks, chicken thighs, chicken wings, and chicken breast
